Resource Development (UK) Ltd is the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location based information. This does however include name, address, email, phone number.
The data that we hold about you
We hold basic Company information which will include your company name, address, contact telephone number, fax number if applicable & email address(es)
Why we need your data
We need to use this data in order to complete transactions between our companies – this may be either purchases from you by us or purchases from us by you. In addition we will use your email address to send you offers for products that we feel will be relevant & of specific interest to your business. We might also save data such as what pages you visit and your geographical information if you allow cookies. We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need to carry out any of these functions.
What we do with your data
All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK and will be held on our own servers in house. We use Microsoft Dynamics NAV as our operating software package. Microsoft have taken steps to ensure that the storage of personal data is held in a safe & secure way within their NAV products – should you require further information concerning Microsoft Dynamics NAV then please contact the Data Control Officer & we will provide it to you. We also use services such as MailChimp and CreateSend to store your email addresses for newsletter emails.
How long we keep your data
We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
What we would like to do with your data
We would also like to use your email address to provide you with information on certain products that we feel will be of particular interest to you. Your registration on our web site is your direct consent for you to be contacted by us in this way. By accepting this privacy policy, you also give consent for us to add your email address to our mailing list. You can have your email removed from our mailing list from clicking the 'Unscubscribe' button on the bottom of our emails or by contacting sales@rduk.co.uk
How you can get your data removed from our system
If you have not placed any orders with us you can unsubscribe at any time via phone, email or post. If you have ordered from us then you can still unsubscribe from receiving any communications from us (provided your account balance is zero). Your company information will, however remain on our system until the six year time has passed to comply with UK tax law.
Your rights
If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us to have the matter investigated. complaints@rd-uk.co.uk
